Join us on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings when kids ages 6-17 will meet in age groups to study musical theatre and work on positive self esteem, all the while preparing for a spectacular production of two beloved children's stories. The production will be performed at the MCCC Meyer Theatre on August 8 and 9. The kids will also get the chance to walk in the Monroe Fair Parade in characters such as Pooh, Piglet, Charlie, and Wonka, as well as perform a small segment at the fair itself. The cost of the camp is only $25/week and will run for 8 weeks. Registration + $50 (the first week's tuition and script/music fee) can be paid any time from now until Friday, June 1. Auditions for roles will be held on May 30 and May 31 at 105 E. Front St. at 6:30 p.m. Students should prepare a small segment of a song and should come prepared to dance and read lines. If a child wants to participate but does not want to audition for a speaking or solo singing role, he/she may simply register. The camp will begin June 19 and run through the show.

Pre-school and Kindergarteners can also be a part of the fun as a member of Off Beat Production's Little Beats Program. Little Beats will learn the basics of the arts while fostering self-esteem and building motor, social and cognative skills. They will also get the chance to take to the stage, serving as the forest animals and bees in Winnie the Pooh Kids and as the oompa lumpas in Willy Wonka Kids. Their group will meet on Wednesdays from 9-10 a.m. beginning June 13. There is no need for them to audition but registration and the cost of $150 (tuition plus the cost of script/music) is due also by June 1.
